Once the Father's Day tournament / Districts are complete, teams can participate in other tournaments at your own cost.
What are the All Star Teams?
Each team can have 12-14 players on their roster.
Ages listed are “League Age,” which may be different than actual age
A player is only eligible for post season tournament play if they participate in at least 60% of the regular season games or is granted a waiver by the district administrator.
How are Managers Selected?
Regular season managers are eligible to self-nominate (All Star Manager Commitment Form)
Managers can coach down from regular season, but not up.
Nominees provide information about their qualifications to the MPLL Board at a special manager selection meeting
MPLL Board (only) has open discussion following nominations and then votes by blind ballot, with a simple majority deciding the outcome.
President notifies nominees of the results and preparations begin
How are Teams Selected?
New for 2019 - Moorpark Little League will start preparing for All Stars during the Spring season.
MPLL Board will have multiple round tables with the division Managers to identify and discuss potential All Stars
All Star nomination forms will be sent to parents earlier in the season to confirm the pool of nominations. The Board on Managers may speak with parents to encourage submitting nomination.
Above the periodic round tables, we encourage Managers do any necessary “scouting” at games and talking with regular season coaches
MPLL Player Agent share results of the All Star balloting with Managers
Teams are drafted one team at a time, with discussion/input from all three managers and facilitation by key MPLL Board members. The first 10 players are to be selected by the division managers votes and the remaining 2 to 4 players will be at the discretion of the All Star manager. This allows the All Star manager the flexibility to choose the players needed in order to execute their strategy, such as ensuring there is enough pitching depth on the team.
All Star teams will be announced at the end of the Spring Season
